The Gemini is a new 3D camera designed to be small, fast, and lightweight while retaining the high image quality we’ve come to expect in giant-screen 3D IMAX films. It is a completely original camera, designed from scratch as a 3D camera. You can load the Gemini with film, put it in a medium sized Pelican case, take it anywhere, pull it out of the case, and begin shooting quality 3D in seconds. It is scanned into a digital pipeline at a minimum of 11 million pixels, almost 6 times the number of pixels in an HD image. Designed and built by MSM Design, it fits on a Steadicam.
